Mid-century moss green Lapid vase (shape number 156 or 158?), with Lapid mark and "Made in Israel".

Lapid was founded in 1944, at the time of the British mandate in Israel. Lapid designers were a.o. Elspeth Cohen, Bertha Rosenthal, Ray Silverman and Dvora Gazit. The designers were responsible for the shapes, while the head decorators created the glaze and decoration. A small group of decorators were then responsible for the actual decoration, making each Lapid piece unique.
