For me, this beauty – a 20 cm high shape 110 – is the ultimate West-Germany vase. The shape is fabulous in its simplicity, but this particular glaze is just stunning. Its secret is a delicate play with contrasts: the smooth surface on top and the rough lower part make it sensational to handle and touch; the dialogue between the warm wood tones and the colder pebble grey works amazingly well, and the dynamic of horizontal and vertical lines makes it perfect. Just perfect!
